The Crow’s Rest Bakehouse is a microbakery in Camberwell, passionate about Real Bread and all things good food. Alex bakes artisan loaves once a week and Nick delivers it locally on his bike. Their balcony plays resting grounds to local crows who like to perch there and look out as the day goes by.

  • Lear how to run a Micro-bakery from home

In this course you will learn how to start your own micro bakery. In addition to baking a lot of different kinds of bread, you will learn a great deal about ingredients and methodology as well the basics of sales and marketing and the logistics and admin involved in having your own small business.

If the dates don't suit, contact me and we can try and schedule a time that does.

The course is run over two days, (please note only the first date is listed below, so the February class is on two Saturdays, 24th February and 3rd March) at my home where I have been running my own microbakery for close on two years.

You will learn how you too can turn your kitchen into a successful microbakery. This will involve baking many types of bread particularly those suitable for scaling up for sale. We will discuss methodology, legal requirements, equipment, marketing and aspects of admin necessary for you to get going. I will provide you with detailed notes, recipes, lunch, refreshments on both days and plenty of fresh baked bread to take home with you.

CHANGE/CANCELLATION POLICY: If you want to change or cancel a full two weeks before your course you can do so with an administrative fee of £15. There are no changes or cancellations within two weeks. We are sorry to be so draconian, but we are a small business and hope you understand. If you don't see a class time that suits you, email me and I can arrange a more suitable date and time.
