  • Introduction to Sourdough

Sourdough is made with a wild yeast culture instead of a commercial yeast. Come and learn how to bake sourdough in a small friendly class. During the 6 hour class you will learn how to make, use and maintain a sour dough starter. We will make a variety of sourdough goods including white, rye, rustic loaves and crackers. We’ll have a light home-made lunch and refreshments during the day with plenty of time for chatting. You will be surprised at how easy it can be to fit bread making into your busy life style and at the satisfaction it brings. You will go home with a new skill, a bag of bread you’ve made, step by step recipes and a starter so that you can continue in your own kitchen.
