I am an experienced home baker living in rural Hampshire. I work at an artisan bakery. I sell my bread at local bake sales under the name of The Old Dairy Bakery. My courses are taught in a domestic kitchen, in small friendly classes (maximum of four people). Full day sourdough course

Sour dough is made with a wild yeast culture instead of a commercial yeast. Come and learn how to bake sour dough in a small friendly class. During the 6 hour class you will learn how to make, use and maintain a sour dough starter. We will make a variety of sour dough goods including white, rye, rustic loaves also crackers and focaccia. We’ll have a light home-made lunch and refreshments during the day with plenty of time for chatting. You will be surprised at how easy it can be to fit bread making into your busy life style and at the satisfaction it brings. You will go home with a new skill, a bag of bread you’ve made, step by step recipes and a starter so that you can continue in your own kitchen. Travel Information: Easy access of the A3 (Griggs Green exit) with ample free parking. Alternatively Liphook is on the main Waterloo to Portsmouth line. If you need to change or cancel your booking you may do so up to fourteen days before your course. If for any reason, you are unable to attend, then you could of course send someone else to take your place if you wish to do so, without incurring any extra charges. If WE cancel the course for any reason we will refund you in full or, if you wish, we will do our best to find an alternative course for you to attend.
