The Micro Bakery at Hen Corner opened in October 2015 just two weeks after Sara & Katie trained as Bread Angels. We now bake for our community each week, run regular Bread & Baking Courses and are delighted to offer this course that teaches you how to set up a similar business.
This is a hybrid course including 4 online baking session and two days face to face training. Once booked in, you will be sent course notes for self study and will be invited to our monthly online mentoring sessions which alternate between baking together and group learning and support.
The in person sessions are either run back to back or on the same day of two consecutive weeks, 10am - 4pm each day, with homework in between. *For admin reasons, only the first date is advertised but the payment covers both dates*

The course is run from our family home and kitchen, where we run our business and bakery, demonstrating how to bake and teach using normal domestic equipment.
This is a totally hands on course that concentrates on traditional methods of baking. We will be making around 5 different products each day of the course using different skills and ingredients to enable you to grow in confidence with your baking.
Within the course we will also be discussing all aspects of starting your own small business - sourcing ingredients and equipment, marketing, legal requirements and administration.
The course fee includes your first year's membership as a Full Bread Angel, along with all the benefits that this entails, and ongoing mentoring from Sara during your first year.
Everyone goes home with their hand made bakes, banneton, dough scraper, recipe sheets and the confidence to make more bread at home.
