Laura runs Pig and Pepper, a Bakery and Deli specialising in home baked bread, cakes and patisserie. Prior to living in Buxton, Laura was selling bread locally on a small scale from a flat in Hackney.

Join a class and learn to make a range of breads. All courses are taught in a home kitchen and they are small and hands on. You will leave laden with loaves and the recipes from the class so you can continue baking at home. Classes are held centrally in Buxton

You may amend or cancel your booking at any time up to and including 10 working days from the class start date. Beyond this time we are unable to change or cancel bookings, however we are happy to accept another attendee in your place

Full day sourdough course

Come and learn how to bake sourdough in a small friendly class. During the 6 hour class you will learn how to make, use and maintain a sour dough starter. We will make a variety of sourdough goods including white, rye  and yeasted loaves. We will learn some plaiting techniques and rustle up some sourdough crackers. We’ll have a light home-made lunch and refreshments during the day with plenty of time for chatting. You will go home with a bag full of bread you’ve made, step by step recipes and a starter so that you can continue in your own kitchen.
