I am an Award Winning home baker serving my local community with organic artisan bread. I became a Bread Angel in 2006 and since then have been teaching people how to bake their own bread or to set up their own Micro Bakery business.

All courses are practical and totally hands-on. Everyone mixes, kneads, shapes and bakes. I only demonstrate key techniques.  You do all the work so be prepared to be busy, sticky and floury.

Courses are held in my domestic kitchen so you will be learning in an environment similar to your own kitchen as opposed to a professional bakery with industrial equipment.

Participants are limited to 4 so plenty of individual attention and time to ask questions.At the end of a course you will be invited to join the Bread Angels Hall of Fame Facebook Group.  A place for Bread Angels’ students to show off their bakes, ask questions, get answers and learn from other bakers.

My home is a 10 minute walk from Wallington Rail Station with a 35 minute direct link to London Victoria. There is plenty of parking on site for drivers.

  • Micro-Bakery Course (2 Days)

    Learn how easy it is to turn your home kitchen into a Micro Bakery without a professional oven, mixer or expensive equipment.  

    This is a totally hands on course that concentrates on traditional methods of baking.  We cannot teach you everything there is to know about bread but we can get you off to a great start and get your business up and running.

    After the course you are given the opportunity to become an affiliated Bread Angels and enjoy all the benefits that this entails.

    This 12 hour course normally runs over the week-end but the system only allows the start date to be shown. Bespoke courses can be run during the week if more convenient.

    As well as baking lots of bread we will discuss all aspects of starting a business - sourcing ingredients and equipment, marketing, legal requirements and administration.
